<p>Australian grunge-rock band Silverchair, formerly known as Innocent Criminals, rose to fame while still in high-school after winning a radio contest on Triple J. Their debut EP "Tomorrow" reached #1 in Australia in 1994, a year before their first album "Frogstomp" was released. Despite their early success, the band has been on indefinite hiatus since May 2011.</p>

"Anthem For The Year 2000" is the first single taken from Silverchair's third album Neon Ballroom. The song reached #3 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, becoming the band's sixth top-ten single. It also reached the top ten in New Zealand, on Canada's RPM Rock Report, and on the UK Rock Chart.
