Snail Mail is the indie rock solo project of guitarist, vocalist and songwriter Lindsey Jordan. Raised in Ellicott City, Maryland, Jordan self-released the four-song EP "Sticki" in 2015 and began touring under the Snail Mail moniker that same year. A year later she released the "Habit" EP through Sister Polygon Records, accompanied by former backing band members Ryan Viera (bass) and Shawn Durham (drums). After touring the US extensively and gaining traction on notable music blogs, Jordan signed with Matador Records in 2017. In 2018, she released her debut album "Lush" which was lauded by critics for its mesmerizing guitar work and emotional complexity.

Her current backing band includes Alex Bass on bass guitar, Ray Brown on drums, and Madeline McCormack on keyboards and guitar.

In 2021, Snail Mail announced their second album "Valentine," set to be released in November of that same year.

Available in its first pressing for Matador Records, Snail Mail’s debut EP Habit serves as a nascent example of Lindsey Jordan’s extraordinary talent as a songwriter, singer and guitarist. The seven song disc features the six original 2016 tracks as well as The 2nd Most Beautiful Girl In The World, penned by K Records band Courtney Love and recorded by Snail Mail in 2018, available on record for the first time. The EP features a full-colour cover as it had originally been designed, and has been remastered by Dave Cooley at Elysian Masters.
