Freedom Weaver: The 1959 European Tour Recordings is the first official release of “Saxophone Colossus” Sonny Rollins’ tour with bassist Henry Grimes and drummers Pete La Roca, Kenny Clarke and Joe Harris. Previously only available as a bootleg, this is the first official release in cooperation with Rollins. Included in this 3 CD set is a multipage booklet with rare photos, lead liners by jazz scholar Bob Blumenthal and new interviews with Rollins himself. Mastered by the legendary engineer Bernie Grundman.
