Al Wilson

Alan "Blind Owl" Christie Wilson was a founding member, occasional lead vocalist, and primary composer in the American blues band Canned Heat. He played guitar and harmonica, and wrote most of the songs for the band.

Born on July 04, 1943 in Arlington, Massachusetts, Al Wilson's musical journey began at an early age. His immense talent as a musician led him to become an integral part of Canned Heat, where he contributed his soulful vocals and captivating songwriting skills.

Tragically, Al Wilson's life was cut short on September 03, 1970 in Topanga, California due to a barbiturate overdose at the young age of 27. Despite his untimely demise, his legacy lives on through his timeless music that continues to inspire generations.
