Charlie Watts

Charlie Watts (born 2 June 1941, Kingsbury, London, England; died 24 August 2021 in London, England) was an English drummer. He is best known as a member of the legendary rock band The Rolling Stones. Throughout his career, Watts also pursued jazz and R&B projects alongside his work with the band. He received his first drum kit in 1955 and went on to join Blues Incorporated in 1961 after meeting Alexis Korner. In 1963, he became a member of The Rolling Stones and played Gretsch drums. Watts' exceptional talent earned him a place in the Modern Drummer Hall of Fame.
