Husker Du

Husker Du was a punk/hardcore trio formed in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in January 1979. The band consisted of guitarist/vocalist Bob Mould, bassist Greg Norton, and drummer/vocalist Grant Hart. They started as a punk band before transitioning to hardcore and eventually incorporating more melodic elements into their music.

After releasing several albums, Husker Du disbanded in January 1988 due to Grant Hart's struggles with alcohol and drugs, as well as the tragic suicide of their manager David Savoy Jr. Following the breakup, Bob Mould formed Sugar while Grant Hart formed Nova Mob. Both artists later disbanded their respective groups in the mid-'90s but continued to produce music for their solo projects.

Unfortunately, on September 14th, 2017, Grant Hart passed away from cancer. Today, Greg Norton is no longer involved in the music industry as he pursued a career as a restaurant owner.
