Kokoroko

Kokoroko is a young, London based Afrobeat 8-Piece band led by trumpeter Sheila Maurice-Grey. Inspired by Fela Kuti, Ebo Taylor, Tony Allen and the sounds that come out of West Africa.

The band consists of Sheila Maurice-Grey on trumpet and vocals, Cassie Kinoshi on saxophone and vocals, Richie SeivWright on trombone and vocals, Duane Atherley on bass, Tobi Adenaike on guitar, Yohan Kebede on keyboards, Onome Edgeworth on percussion, and Ayo Salawu on drums.

With their unique blend of Afrobeat influences and their energetic performances, Kokoroko has quickly gained recognition in the music scene. Their music will transport you to the vibrant streets of West Africa while keeping you grooving to their infectious rhythms.
