Silverchair

Australian grunge-rock band Silverchair, formerly known as Innocent Criminals, rose to fame while still in high-school after winning a radio contest on Triple J. Their debut EP "Tomorrow" reached #1 in Australia in 1994, a year before their first album "Frogstomp" was released. Despite their early success, the band has been on indefinite hiatus since May 2011.
