The Phoenix Foundation

The Phoenix Foundation is a six-piece band from Wellington, New Zealand. Formed in 1997, they have established themselves as one of the country's most influential and beloved musical acts.

They released their first album through Capital Recordings before moving on to Festival Mushroom Records for their second release. Their third album found a home at Flying Nun Records.

Their fourth album, Buffalo, marked a significant milestone as it was the first release on their own label. Since then, they have continued to captivate audiences with their unique sound and have collaborated with UK indie Memphis Industries for distribution.
