Yann Tiersen

Yann Tiersen is a French composer and multi-instrumentalist, born on 23 June 1970 in Brest, Brittany, France. With a background in classical violin, piano, and conducting, he gained recognition for his compositions for theatre. His first album "La Valse Des Monstres" (1995) features some of these pieces. Tiersen's music has also been featured in popular movies such as "Amélie" (2001), "The Dreamlife Of Angels" (1998), and "Goodbye Lenin" (2003). In recent years, his sound has evolved to incorporate elements of rock music and electronics.
