Lucas Heidepriem was a young friend and student of Albert Mangelsdorff to the bearer of hope for the German jazz trombone. In 1993, a tragic lip disease forced him to give up his trumpets Career. Heidepriem retired from the jazz scene and started 12 years of classical piano training at Erik Siefert Musikhochschule Freiburg. His contemplative piano playing caused a stir in the professional world after his first two releases Next Return and Silence in Motion. His son, Michael Heidepriem on drum now completes the trio following passing his master's degree with distinction at the Jazz Campus Basel.
