Colson Baker, better known by his stage name Machine Gun Kelly, is a rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. He gained fame with the release of his mixtapes Stamp Of Approval (2006), Homecoming (2008), 100 Words and Running (2010), and Lace Up (2010). MGK's rapid-fire lyrical flow earned him his stage name, which pays homage to the infamous criminal George "Machine Gun Kelly" Barnes. In addition to his music career, MGK signed a deal with Young and Reckless Clothing in mid-2011. He was named the Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011 by MTV and won the MTVu Breaking Woodie award in 2012. Notably, his song "Bloody Valentine" won Best Alternative at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2020.
