Peaceville is an English label founded by Paul Halmshaw, also known as Hammy, in 1987. The label primarily focuses on metal music and has gained a reputation for its high-quality releases. In 2000, Peaceville was sold to Snapper Music but continues to thrive under their ownership.

Throughout its history, Peaceville has used various catalog number formats to distinguish different types of releases. From 1987 to 1995, the label used "VILE ### T" for 12-inch singles, maxis, and EPs; "VILE ###" for LPs; and "VILE ### P" for picture LPs. From 1987 to 2002, CD releases were labeled as "CDVILE### / VILE ### CD," while MCDs/singles/EPs were labeled as "CDMVILE### / VILE ### TCD." Limited CDs were marked with "CDXVILE###."

In later years, Peaceville introduced new catalog number formats such as "CC#" for the Collectors Club series of 7-inch records in 1993-1994. Mork is a one-man black metal project created by Thomas Eriksen in Halden, Norway in 2004. Over the years, Thomas has self-produced numerous demos and honed his skills in both writing and recording. In 2011, he joined forces with Polish drummer Lucass, marking a new era for Mork as a full band.
Despite its resemblance to the Norwegian word for "Dark," Mork stands on its own as an independent entity.
