The Sound is a British post-punk band formed in South London in 1979. Led by singer and songwriter Adrian Borland, the band released several critically acclaimed albums throughout the 1980s. Their lyrics often explored themes of isolation, despair, and social commentary. Demon is a UK 80s New Wave label that was founded by Elvis Costello, Andrew Lauder, and the company behind the label in 1980. In 1998, the label was acquired by Music Collection International and merged with its Westside Records operation. Today, Demon forms part of the Demon Music Group Ltd.
