Porcupine Tree is an English progressive rock band that was founded in 1987 by Steven Wilson. Originally starting as a solo project, the band evolved into a full lineup in 1993 with the addition of Colin Edwin, Chris Maitland, and Richard Barbieri. After going on hiatus in 2010, Porcupine Tree made their official return in November 2021 as a three-piece lineup consisting of Wilson, Barbieri, and Gavin Harrison. They released their new single "Harridan" and are set to release their eleventh studio album Closure / Continuation in June 2022.

The current lineup includes Steven Wilson on vocals, guitar, bass, and keyboards; Richard Barbieri on keyboards and synthesizers; and Gavin Harrison on drums and percussion. Former members include Chris Maitland on drums and Colin Edwin on bass. The touring members for the band currently include Randy McStine on guitar and backing vocals, Nathan Navarro on bass, and John Wesley on guitar and backing vocals during their earlier years.

With a rich history spanning over three decades, Porcupine Tree has established themselves as influential figures within the progressive rock genre. Their unique sound combines elements of rock with intricate melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. Remastered by Steven Wilson. 'Up The Downstair' in 1993 as an album that took British psychedelic and progressive rock in to the modern era, dropping the indulgent nature of the genres for forceful, emotive music. Following the now sold-out first box set of Porcupine Tree's 'Delerium Years', and the near sold-out second box set, Kscope are re-releasing the band's records from the era, including 'Up The Downstair', as a series of LPs presented in gatefold packaging. This double LP version is pressed on to 180g heavyweight audiophile vinyl and uses real drums (played by Gavin Harrison) in place of the original sampled drums, and features the tracks remastered by Steven Wilson in 2016 with more naturalistic dynamics and EQ - remasters previously only available in 'The Delerium Years 1991 - 1993' box set.
