Description

Jerusalem Slim is first and foremost the story of a collaboration between Steve Stevens and Michael Wagener (the project's German producer) on the one
hand, and Michael Monroe and Sami Yaffa on the other. In the end, it's all a question of style, appreciation and even good taste in music. Michael Monroe's
truth lies in a form of intransigence to the principles established by Hanoi Rocks in 1980, namely the resurgence of the glorious period of Glam tinged with
Punk and Roll (from 1969 to 85). It was also a ferocious determination to defend tooth and nail the path they had begun 12 years earlier. For the time being,
however, Steve Stevens' chosen option is to project a vision of modernist Glam Metal, an undertaking largely encouraged by the record company via Wagener.
But from a strictly technical and musical point of view, Jerusalem Slim is an undeniable success. The high standards of songwriting are there for all to see as
is Monroe's multi-instrumentalist talents (harmonica, sax, vocals) and Steve Stevens guitar playing is incredible as always.
