Sally Shapiro, a Swedish italo disco / synthpop duo, has released their fifth studio album, Ready To Live A Lie. This album takes inspiration from various genres such as synthwave, italo disco, nudisco, indie pop, and bossanova.

It is their second album for Italians Do It Better and was mixed by label founder Johnny Jewel (known for his work with Chromatics, Glass Candy, and Desire). Ready To Live A Lie may be considered the duo's darkest album to date.

The lyrics in this album delve into "Sally's" struggles in long-term relationships, shifting from the euphoria of first love to themes such as love triangles, boredom, resentment, and the lingering sense of loneliness.
