Tim Buckley

Tim Buckley was a folk singer/songwriter in the 1960s and early 1970s. He experimented with music and improvisation, as seen in his albums "Lorca" and "Starsailor". Despite his efforts to transition into pop music, he faced little success. His later albums went unnoticed by critics and the public.

Tragically, Tim Buckley passed away at the age of 28 due to a lethal combination of celebratory binge-drinking and a heroin overdose. This occurred the day after completing his final show on a USA tour in Dallas, Texas.

Buckley is also known as the father of singer/songwriter Jeff Buckley, who tragically died young while on his way to achieving musical success in the 1990s.
