Grateful Dead were an American rock band that formed in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1965. With a career spanning from 1965 to 1995, they left an indelible mark on the music industry. Originally established in 1964 as "The Warlocks," the band quickly gained popularity for their unique sound and improvisational style.The Grateful Dead's music encompassed various genres including rock, folk, blues, and psychedelic rock. The band's members included Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzmann, Mickey Hart, and Ron "Pigpen" McKernan.Throughout their career,&nbsp;Grateful Dead released numerous albums that became iconic within the counterculture movement of the time. Some of their most notable works include "American Beauty," "Workingman's Dead," and "Europe '72." Even after disbanding in 1995 following Garcia's untimely death, their legacy continues to resonate with music lovers worldwide.

Rhino Records, also known as Rhino, is a renowned music label that was established in 1973 by Richard Foos. Starting as a record store in Westwood California, Rhino quickly gained recognition with its first successful release "Go To Rhino Records" by Wild Man Fischer in 1975. The label's early logo featured "Rocky the Rhino" and focused on novelty, surf, local new wave bands, and reissues of out-of-print records from other labels.

Under the guidance of Bill Inglot for production, Ken Perry for mastering, and A&R team Gary Stewart and James Austin, Rhino expanded its catalog to include a wide range of reissues by the mid-1980s. The label underwent a logo redesign during this time period to simply "Rhino". In 1984, Rhino released its first CD and became known for manufacturing high-quality CDs made by Sanyo (1984-85) and various manufacturers from Japan or Switzerland thereafter.

In 1985, Rhino entered into a distribution deal with Capitol Records which lasted until 1992. This partnership allowed access to Capitol's back catalog and led to the release of reissues of old Capitol albums. Additionally, EMI and Rhino acquired the Roulette family of labels in 1989. As their deal with Capitol came to an end in 1992, Time-Warner offered an opportunity for growth. Half of the label was sold to Time-Warner

Widely considered one of the Grateful Dead's seminal performances, and certainly one of the very best of the universally acclaimed 1973 performing year, 6/10/73 is as synonymous with great Grateful Dead concerts as are 2/13/70, 8/27/72, and 5/8/77. There are few shows that deliver the goods to the extent of this concert, with its statement-opener of Morning Dew, through lengthy workouts on Bird Song, Playing In The Band, Here Comes Sunshine, Eyes Of The World, and an other-worldly Dark Star. Add to this a nearly hour-long encore/third set featuring members of the Allman Brothers Band (with whom the Dead shared the bill at RFK in 1973), and you have not only one of the most unique shows in Grateful Dead history, but also one of the most exciting, inspired and powerful performances of Dead's entire career.
