65daysofstatic is a math/post rock band based in Sheffield, UK. The band was founded in 2001 by Joe Shrewsbury (also known as JoeFro), Paul Wolinski, and Iain Armstrong. In May 2003, Iain Armstrong left the band. Graham Clarke (also known as Feedle) briefly joined in 2003, but ultimately Rob Jones and Gareth Hughes became permanent members at the end of that year. However, Gareth Hughes left the band again around September 2004 and was replaced by Simon Wright.
Since their formation, 65daysofstatic has been creating unique and captivating music that blends elements of math rock and post rock genres. Their sound is characterized by intricate guitar work, complex rhythms, and atmospheric textures.
The band's talent and creativity have earned them a dedicated fan base worldwide. 65daysofstatic celebrate 10 years of Wild Light in 2023, with a long overdue vinyl repress of that much-loved album on 180g transparent magenta vinyl. Originally released in 2013, the bands sixth studio album was called “an exploration and expression of sonic freedom” by The Quietus, and has since become a favourite amongst fans.

Wild Light is where the music leads. There is no order but chaos. It doesn't matter what you think you know about 65daysofstatic, nothing you've heard is true in the now. All that matters is to listen. The eight tracks and fifty odd minutes contained on Wild Light were not written by 65dos as much as unmade by them. Unmade from vast blueprints, the open source data of four minds trying to scramble some semblance of meaning from unbalanced times. Doxxed dream protagonists and muscle amnesia.​
