Jackpot Records, started in 2004, operates as a reissue label featuring albums and bands that have been seminal within their respective genres as well as interesting new releases of various genres. Care is paid to giving each album the most authentic and true-to-form representation, with all recordings taken from the original master tapes whenever possible.

Jackpot Records began in 1997 in Portland, Oregon as an independent retailer set on getting music into the hands and ears of the people who love it. Opened by owner Isaac Slusarenko, Jackpot Records was founded on the idea that the music matters, offering a wide selection of both new and used CDs, LPs, DVDs and other collectibles. In 2001, a second location was opened in downtown Portland.

Jackpot Records enjoys giving back to the community that supports it by offering free, all ages in-store performances, signings and meet-n-greets, as well as an annual film festival that centers on music-related cinema.

Electronic rock group formed in New York by percussionist Danny Taylor and lead vocalist Simeon. Initially active between 1967 and 1970, they reformed twice between 1996 and 1999, and from 2006 to 2016.
*Silver Apples* is an influential electronic rock group that emerged from the vibrant music scene of New York. Founded by percussionist Danny Taylor and lead vocalist Simeon, their unique sound combines elements of rock with experimental electronic music. Active during the late 1960s, *Silver Apples* gained a cult following for their innovative use of synthesizers and unconventional song structures.
With their groundbreaking self-titled debut album released in 1968, *Silver Apples* captivated audiences with hypnotic rhythms, psychedelic melodies, and mesmerizing vocals. Drawing inspiration from various genres such as krautrock and avant-garde, their music pushed boundaries and challenged traditional notions of what rock could be.

The 1969 follow up to Silver Apple’s debut found the duo digging into the far reaches of their songwriting psyches for a darker and more emotionally charged set of songs. While the debut set the stage for a sound the world had never heard before, Contact is where the Silver Apples began inhabiting that sound with more urgency and experimentation. Sourced from the original master tapes plus inner sleeve with unseen master tape box photos. Featuring the original controversial artwork with the Silver Apples in the cockpit of a Pan Am jet on the front, and a plane crash with the duo superimposed over it, on the back. The airline sued both Kapp Records and the band, forcing the band to break up. Their highly influential sound has influenced countless bands from Stereolab, Beastie Boys, Blur and more
