Jackpot Records, started in 2004, operates as a reissue label featuring albums and bands that have been seminal within their respective genres as well as interesting new releases of various genres. Care is paid to giving each album the most authentic and true-to-form representation, with all recordings taken from the original master tapes whenever possible.

Jackpot Records began in 1997 in Portland, Oregon as an independent retailer set on getting music into the hands and ears of the people who love it. Opened by owner Isaac Slusarenko, Jackpot Records was founded on the idea that the music matters, offering a wide selection of both new and used CDs, LPs, DVDs and other collectibles. In 2001, a second location was opened in downtown Portland.

Jackpot Records enjoys giving back to the community that supports it by offering free, all ages in-store performances, signings and meet-n-greets, as well as an annual film festival that centers on music-related cinema.

1968 Debut album. Hailing from Detroit. Cut From The Original Analog Master Tapes By Kevin Gray. Over the Top Psychedelic Fuzz Guitar Masterpiece. SRC was born out of a smashing up of two of Detroit’s brightest bands, The Fugitives and the Chosen Few (which also featured future Stooges Ron Asheton). The new band gained a fanatic local following, eventually capturing the attention of Capitol Records. The band shifts effortlessly from mountaintop introspection to wild distorted crescendos creating one of the most melodically heavy LPs ever made. Upon its release in the U.S in 1968, the LP created fan and critical excitement. Still, it was in the U.K where the cultdom made its most significant impact, with John Peel playing the hell out of it on his radio show and even Genesis' Peter Gabriel claiming that this first SRC album was one of his favourites, saying he “wore the record out” (and you can absolutely hear SRC’s melodies buried inside Gabriel’s musical DNA!)
