Infectious is a UK-based independent record label that was re-launched in January 2009. Previously known as Infectious Records since 1993, the label is now headed up by Korda Marshall as the Managing Director and Pat Carr as the General Manager. They are supported by Connie Meade and Mike Ajayi in sales, marketing, International, and A&R.

With a strong team behind them, Infectious has been making waves in the music industry. Their dedication to discovering talented artists and promoting their work has earned them a reputation for excellence. The label's commitment to quality extends to every aspect of their business, from production to distribution.

In September 2014, BMG acquired Infectious, further solidifying their position in the industry. This partnership allows Infectious to continue growing while maintaining their independent spirit and artistic integrity.

These New Puritans are a British art rock band founded in 2006 from Southend-on-Sea. The band consists mainly of *Jack Barnett* (songwriter, producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist) and his twin brother *George Barnett* (multi-instrumentalist). Their unique sound is characterized by a blend of piano, singing, sound design (*Jack Barnett*) and drums, percussion, glass (*George Barnett*). Former members include Sophie Sleigh-Johnson on keyboards and sampler (2006-2010), Thomas Hein on bass guitar, roto-toms, keyboards, percussion (2006-2016), and Elisa Rodrigues who provided vocals as a featured artist on their album Field Of Reeds.

Influenced by an array of artists including 'The Horrors', 'Wild Beasts', 'Fuck Buttons', 'Liars', 'Bark Psychosis', 'Gang Gang Dance', 'Julia Holter', 'Xiu Xiu', 'Tim Hecker', 'Savages', 'Swans', 'Owen Pallett', 'Preoccupations','Dutch Uncles','Iceage','Coil','Oxbow','Fennesz','Richard Dawson'and'Klaxons,' These New Puritans have carved out their own distinct musical identity. With their innovative approach to songwriting and production techniques, they continue to push boundaries within the art rock genre.

These New Puritans release their third album via Infectious Music. Recorded in a series of intensive sessions between April and November 2012, with production duties once again shared by Graham Sutton (Bark Psychosis) and the band's Jack Barnett, 'Field of Reeds' represents another uncompromising shift from a band without peer. The songs on 'Field of Reeds' are more intimate, melodic and personal than the band's previous work, covering subjects such as hope, despair and love. Among the guests on the album are basso profundo Adrian Peacock, renowned British jazz trumpeter Henry Lowther, Dutch contemporary composer Michel van der Aa and Swedish soundtrack arranger Hans Ek. Several songs feature Portuguese jazz singer Elisa Rodrigues, whose voice recalls a combination of her namesake, Amalia Rodrigues, and Billie Holiday. Respected mixing engineer Mark 'Spike' Stent mixed the record.The CD includes gatefold format artwork that folds out to show aerial imagery of the band, a 12-page booklet, embossed and spot varnished finishes, lyrics, scanned musical-working drawings and sketches.The LP features two 33 rpm vinyls, three sides of which are playable; the fourth side contains an etching.
