BMG Rights Management, formerly known as Bertelsmann Music Group, is a global music conglomerate with a rich history in the industry. Originally formed in 1985 as a joint venture between Bertelsmann AG and RCA, BMG has since evolved into a powerhouse of music production and distribution.

In 1986, Bertelsmann acquired full ownership of RCA and Arista Records through the purchase of their joint venture's stock from General Electric. The following year, these labels were merged under the umbrella of Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG), solidifying its position as a major player in the music world.

In 2004, BMG joined forces with Sony Music to create Sony BMG Music Entertainment. However, in 2008, Bertelsmann sold its stake in the company, leading to the formation of BMG Rights Management. Today, BMG continues to thrive as a leading record label and distributor worldwide.

These New Puritans are a British art rock band founded in 2006 from Southend-on-Sea. The band consists mainly of *Jack Barnett* (songwriter, producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist) and his twin brother *George Barnett* (multi-instrumentalist). Their unique sound is characterized by a blend of piano, singing, sound design (*Jack Barnett*) and drums, percussion, glass (*George Barnett*). Former members include Sophie Sleigh-Johnson on keyboards and sampler (2006-2010), Thomas Hein on bass guitar, roto-toms, keyboards, percussion (2006-2016), and Elisa Rodrigues who provided vocals as a featured artist on their album Field Of Reeds.

Influenced by an array of artists including 'The Horrors', 'Wild Beasts', 'Fuck Buttons', 'Liars', 'Bark Psychosis', 'Gang Gang Dance', 'Julia Holter', 'Xiu Xiu', 'Tim Hecker', 'Savages', 'Swans', 'Owen Pallett', 'Preoccupations','Dutch Uncles','Iceage','Coil','Oxbow','Fennesz','Richard Dawson'and'Klaxons,' These New Puritans have carved out their own distinct musical identity. With their innovative approach to songwriting and production techniques, they continue to push boundaries within the art rock genre.

Field of Reeds is a dark, honest and experimental orchestral work that reflects the band’s love of Bach, Britten and Stephen Sondheim. It marks a sonic deviation for the band and represents another uncompromising shift from a band without peer. Arranged with conductor André de Ridder, Field of Reeds also features basso profundo Adrian Peacock, renowned British jazz trumpeter Henry Lowther, Dutch contemporary composer Michel van der Aa, Swedish soundtrack arranger Hans Ek and Portuguese jazz singer Elisa Rodrigues. Celebrating it’s 10th anniversary, this edition includes an etched side on double black vinyl.
