Formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1970 by guitarist Joe Perry, bassist Tom Hamilton, vocalist Steven Tyler, drummer Joey Kramer, and guitarist Ray Tabano. In 1971, Brad Whitford replaced Tabano and the band began gaining popularity in Boston.
