Kate Bush is a highly distinctive singer/songwriter, born on July 30th, 1958 in Bexleyheath, London, UK. She was signed to EMI at the age of 16 after David Gilmour heard her work and helped her produce a demo tape.

Her debut single "Wuthering Heights" reached #1 in four countries when she was just 19 years old. Since then, she has maintained a large cult following. Between 1978 and 1993, Bush had a prolific creative period with new material and albums released every few years. After the release of "The Red Shoes" in 1993, she took an extended break from public view to focus on her family.

In November 2005, Bush made a comeback with her first album in 12 years titled "Aerial," which was preceded by the single "King Of The Mountain." In 2011, two Kate Bush albums were released: "Director's Cut," featuring reworked songs from "The Sensual World" and "The Red Shoes," and "50 Words for Snow," an album of new music.

In 2014, after decades away from live performances, Bush delighted fans with a series of sold-out concerts in London called "Before The Dawn." Her contributions to music were recognized when she was appointed Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 201

Director's Cut is Kate's 9th studio album and was released on 16 May 2011 on Kate's own label Fish People. On Directors Cut Kate revisits a selection of tracks from her albums The Sensual World and The Red Shoes.Kate has re-recorded some elements whilst keeping the best musical performances of each song - making it something of a director's cut but in sound, not vision.
