Neil Young is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and musician known for his solo releases, collaborations with other artists, and his activism on environmental and political issues. He plays guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. Born in Toronto, Canada in 1945, Young currently holds dual citizenship for Canada and the United States. He has been living in California since the sixties. In 1995, he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame as a performer. Despite facing delays due to his marijuana use, Young successfully became a United States citizen.
Young's musical career spans several decades and genres including folk rock, country rock, and grunge. As an influential figure in the music industry, he has released numerous critically acclaimed albums both as a solo artist and with various bands such as Crosby Stills Nash & Young (CSNY).
In addition to his musical pursuits, Neil Young also runs Vapor Records - an independent record label that supports emerging artists. His passion for environmental causes led him to co-found Farm Aid - an annual benefit concert that raises funds for family farmers.

Reprise Records, also known as "Reprise", is an American label that was formed in December 1960 by Frank Sinatra. It was created to provide more artistic freedom for Sinatra's own recordings and soon became the home for other members of the "Rat Pack" such as Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. In August 1963, Reprise was sold to Warner Bros. Records, becoming its parent company. While still maintaining artistic control for its artists, Reprise has also served as a distributor for other Warner Music Group labels like Sire Records Company and Tommy Boy Music.

Throughout its history, Reprise has had distinct label features including the iconic tri-color 'steamboat' label with a green quadrant above yellow and the use of different color combinations over time. The label has gone through various changes but has always remained committed to supporting its artists while expanding its responsibilities within the Warner Music Group.

It's important to note that some early 1990s promotional CDs from Reprise Records may have a generic copyright year of "©1990" even though they were released later. Additionally, US cassettes and 8-tracks may have a REP code on the spine or elsewhere near the catalogue number which should not be mistaken as part of the catalogue number itself.

This is the second volume of the Neil Young Archives, a series of box sets produced by Neil Young that provide a definitive, comprehensive chronological record of his entire body of released work.

This box set covers the extremely productive period from 1972 through 1976. A prolific era for Neil when he released several classic albums including On The Beach, Tonight’s The Night and Zuma. Homegrown, just released, is part of this history as well. The box set features a total of 131 tracks of which 62 are either unreleased songs or unreleased alternate versions, different mixes, rare or live tracks.

This version of the box set includes 10 CDs and oversized fold-out Archives Poster, plus a 24-page booklet and is packaged in a cube-shaped slip-case box. 

The 10 CDs, each in its own custom sleeve feature tracks from Neil Young solo, plus with bands Crazy Horse, The Stray Gators, The Santa Monica Flyers, the Stills/Young Band and Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young.
